Key Responsibilities
- Develop the menu and keep it fresh
- Look after food standards and production
- Track food costings and plan labour and its cost
- Keep to executive management standards
- Meet kitchen KPIs
- Help recruit kitchen staff and handle their induction and training
- Keep management and staff in the loop
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and safety
- Lead the kitchen teams on every service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar high-volume venue
- Cert III or Cert IV in Cookery
- High degree of professionalism
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations focusing on food quality and presentation
- Sound financial capability for managing kitchen costs
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a multi-faceted kitchen
- A hands-on leader who coaches and motivates the team with an energetic, enthusiastic approach
- Proven problem-solving capability and the ability to build and contribute to teamwork across the whole venue
