Key Responsibilities
- Produce residential carpentry to a professional standard
- Frame, install structural timber and complete renovation and new-build tasks
- Complete finishing and fit-out details
- Work out what plans and measurements call for
- Measure, cut and fit materials with accuracy
- Take charge of the tasks and site areas assigned to you
- Coordinate with supervisors, builders and the other trades, and sort routine problems on site
- Look after tools and equipment so they stay in working order
- Follow health and safety procedures and keep your work area clean, tidy and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Carpenter with demonstrated professional experience
- A relevant trade qualification, or equivalent practical experience
- Residential carpentry experience that can be verified, and an employment history that clearly shows relevant trade work
- Employment or qualification evidence to support your application
- A current White Card
- A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transport
- Your own standard carpentry tools
- Strong practical knowledge of residential construction, including reading plans and following technical instructions
- Steady attention to detail and quality
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable attendance, professional work habits, and good communication and teamwork
