An established Melbourne home-modification business is looking for a carpenter on a full-time weekday contract. The role is hands-on and practical, building timber ramps, steps and accessibility modifications for homes.
Because the work is a subcontract, a valid ABN and your own tools are part of the arrangement. Strong residential construction skills come first. A visa may also be considered for suitable candidates, as long as eligibility and approval requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Build timber ramps, steps and bathroom accessibility modifications
- Do timber construction, framing, structural assembly and installation work
- Handle minor concreting for landings and pathways
- Take site measurements, read drawings and adjust the work, keeping workmanship in line with building, safety and accessibility standards and logging job information, photos and site notes on a tablet
Requirements & Eligibility
- Carpenter with a trade qualification and relevant experience of at least 3 years
- Residential carpentry experience that is proven, with ramps, steps or similar structures among the builds
- Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility standards
- Able to interpret drawings and work independently
- Your own carpentry tools and a valid ABN
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Appropriate Australian work rights, or eligibility for employer sponsorship
- Ready for 6:00 am starts when required
- Ability to complete a background check and a pre-employment medical assessment
