Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble steel components to project requirements, with welding and boilermaking across workshop projects
- Read technical drawings, measurements and fabrication specifications
- Cut, drill, grind and otherwise prepare materials
- Run the relevant workshop equipment and machinery
- Check quality at each stage of fabrication and sort out issues as they come up
- Work safely beside other trades and workshop staff, and keep to workplace health and safety requirements
- Keep tools, equipment and work areas in good condition, and help build a positive, productive team
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised trade qualification in Boilermaking, Welding or Fabrication
- Relevant hands-on workshop experience, with demonstrated steel fabrication and welding skills
- Able to understand technical drawings and measurements
- Verifiable trade qualifications and relevant employment history
- A strong focus on safety and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A dependable approach to attendance and assigned work
