Key Responsibilities
- Handle vehicle servicing and scheduled maintenance
- Carry out mechanical repairs and swap out components
- Trace and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment and workshop technology
- Inspect vehicles to pin down the repairs they need
- Work to manufacturer repair procedures and technical specifications
- Deal with modern electronic systems and ECU technology
- Take on EV, hybrid and high-voltage work where you are suitably trained
- Keep accurate records of inspections, diagnostics and repairs
- Keep your bay safe and tidy and pull your weight with the other technicians
- Deliver consistent workmanship and quality across all repairs
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum five years of relevant experience as an automotive technician
- Dealership or recognised OEM workshop experience from before
- Recognised automotive trade qualification
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with proven diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Manufacturer or brand training where available
- Experience with advanced diagnostics or ECU programming is advantageous
- EV, hybrid or high-voltage experience is highly regarded
- Good communication and teamwork, with a commitment to workshop safety and quality standards
- Completed TRA Skills Assessment
- Required English-language test completed
- Verifiable employment and workshop experience, backed by supporting evidence for your qualifications and employment history
