A specialist 4x4 workshop on the Sunshine Coast, QLD wants a qualified Automotive Technician who is as comfortable with a diagnostic scanner as with a spanner. The shop is built around European makes and off-road builds, and it values hands-on skill over a long list of buzzwords.
Day to day you will chase down faults, finish repairs and lend a hand on one-off projects, and the team will ask to see your trade papers and employment history. Sponsorship is available for experienced technicians with suitable European vehicle experience. Technicians who have built advanced skills on other European manufacturers are also welcome to put their hand up.

Key Responsibilities
- Track down mechanical and technical faults on 4x4s, then work out the right repair for the harder ones
- Handle regular servicing and preventative maintenance
- Finish mechanical repairs to a high professional standard
- Work on European 4x4s and their specialist systems
- Assist with performance upgrades and modifications
- Take part in custom builds and specialist projects
- Operate the diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
- Check completed jobs against safety and quality standards
- Pitch in with the other technicians and keep the workshop tidy and professional
Requirements & Eligibility
- An automotive trade qualification that is relevant
- Experience as an Automotive Technician or Motor Mechanic that you can demonstrate
- Strong hands-on background with 4x4 vehicles
- Proven time spent on European vehicle brands; Land Rover experience is advantageous
- Master Technician or Advanced experience with a recognised vehicle manufacturer is highly regarded
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Employment history and technical experience that you can show to be genuine
- Close attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Dependable, and able to work effectively within a team
- Valid driver's licence
